Aditya L1, India’s first space-based mission to study the Sun is all set launch on Saturday, September 2 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on PSLV XL rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

As India’s last space odyssey Chandrayaan-3 achieved a historic success, the world has set eyes on ISRO’s next mission. The Aditya-L1 spacecraft shall be placed in a halo orbit around the Lagrange point 1 (L1) of the Sun-Earth system, which is about 1.5 million km from the Earth.

To witness this landmark event, ISRO has opened registrations so that one can see the launch of Aditya L1 from the Launch View Gallery at Sriharikota. However, if you missed the registration window, don’t lose hope, the launch will be live-streamed across different channels.

Here’s How One Can live stream the Aditya-L1 Mission Launch Online:

The launch, as witnessed previously can be watched live on ISRO’s website its YouTube channel and other social media channels at 11:50 Hrs. IST. Below is the list of channels, to livestream India’s Sun Mission Launch.

Meanwhile, the Aditya-L1 is expected to take approximately four months to complete its journey. Here’s a brief timeline of Aditya L1’s four-month voyage to the Lagrange point.

-The Aditya L1 mission will be launched by ISRO’s PSLV XL rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota.

-The spacecraft will be initially placed in a Low Earth Orbit.

-The orbit will then be adjusted to become more elliptical.

-Then the spacecraft will be propelled towards the L1 point using onboard propulsion. As the spacecraft moves towards the Lagrange point, it will exit Earth’s gravitational Sphere of Influence.

-After leaving Earth’s SOI, the cruise phase of the mission will commence.
