Shambhala is a legendary paradise mentioned in ancient Tibetan Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Hindu texts like the Vishnu Purana  mention the village Shambhala as the birthplace of Kalki. The final incarnation of Vishnu who will usher in a new Golden Age (Satya Yuga), who was born in Shambhala.  Shambhala is a word with the meaning of place of peace.

According to legend, Shambhala is the land of a thousand names. The Forbidden Land, the Land of White Waters, the Land of Radiant Spirits, the Land of Living Fire, the Land of the Living Gods, and the Land of Wonders are some of the other names for it.

The Chinese refer to it as Hsi Tien. The Western Paradise of Hsi Wang Mu, the Hindus refer to it as Aryavartha (the “Land of the Worthy Ones”). The Russian Old Believers refer to it as Belovoyde.

A celestial realm that governs our own future. The Kalachakra Tantra Prophecy states that a line of wise monarchs will defend the highest teachings.   At that time, a great king will come out of the Shambhala kingdom to defeat the forces of evil and establish the Golden Age(satya yuga).
