Meta debuted a revamped WhatsApp client for Windows desktop earlier this year, and the firm is now delivering the same enhanced experience to Mac users. You can now make group calls from your Mac with the new WhatsApp for Mac software, connecting with up to eight people on video calls and 32 on audio conversations.

Even when the app is closed, users can choose to receive incoming phone notifications, join group calls after they have begun, and view call history.

The app is redesigned to be familiar to Mac users, helping users get more done faster when using WhatsApp on a large screen. Apple users can now share files by easily dragging and dropping into a chat, and can view more of chat history.

As with WhatsApp on any device, WhatsApp for Mac keeps your personal messages and calls private across devices with end-to-end encryption. Earlier this month, the Meta-owned platform had released a new multi-account feature on Android beta, which allows users to add additional accounts to the app. This feature helps users to keep their private chats, work conversations and other chats all in one application.
