Tamim Iqbal is replaced as Bangladesh’s ODI captain by Shakib Al Hasan :-

Hassan stated that the BCB will inquire of the 36-year-old once he returned from the Lankan Premier League if he was okay with the workload. Shakib is now the captain of Bangladesh in all three forms. Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh’s ODI skipper resigned earlier this month, claiming a back issue. That would prevent him from participating in the Asia Cup, which gets underway in Multan on August 30.

Shakib Al Hasan a senior all-rounder, was chosen captain of Bangladesh’s one-day international (ODI) side on Friday. He will represent Bangladesh at the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup this year in India.

Tamim Iqbal who led Bangladesh in the first ODI had to resign earlier. This month due to a back ailment keeping him out of the Asia Cup which gets underway in Multan on August 30. As a result Bangladesh needed a new ODI captain.
Nazmul Hassan, head of the Bangladesh Cricket Board told media in Dhaka. That Shakib Al Hasan would serve as captain for the Asia Cup, New Zealand series and World Cup.
