Shikhar Dhawan dropped off the Indian team for the Asian Games in 2023 :-

Dhawan reaffirmed that he is maintaining his fitness in case he receives an unexpected call-up to the Indian team for the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, which will take place in October and November of this year. He claimed that he still finds training enjoyable and that he respects the decisions made by the selection committee.
Shikhar Dhawan a seasoned Indian hitter admitted that he was a little taken aback when he learned he wouldn’t be participating in the Asian Games in 2023.

The second-string lineup for the quadrennial competition has been announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). With Ruturaj Gaikwad of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) slated to captain the group.
I was a little taken aback when my name wasn’t there. Was somewhat stunned. But then I said You just have to accept it they have a different thought process.
