Microsoft Outage LIVE Updates: Company Promises ‘Resolution is Coming’ Amid Major IT Disruption

Microsoft reported on Thursday that it is investigating issues with its cloud services in the Central US region, which have caused widespread disruptions globally. The outage has significantly impacted major airlines worldwide, including those operating in Delhi and Mumbai. Akasa Airlines announced that some of its online services will be temporarily unavailable at these airports. SpiceJet also reported technical difficulties in providing flight updates.

Indigo Airlines has been affected by the Microsoft outage as well, noting that bookings, check-ins, access to boarding passes, and some flights might be impacted.

In the US, Frontier Airlines, a unit of Frontier Group Holdings Inc., grounded flights for over two hours due to the disruption caused by Microsoft’s services. Discount carrier Allegiant Air, operating around 130 aircraft, also faced issues with reservations and bookings and is working on resolving them.

The outage has also disrupted various sectors in Australia, including airlines, telecommunications providers, banks, and media broadcasters, with some banks in New Zealand also reporting offline issues.
