After wowing audiences with her portrayal as Rani in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, actress Alia Bhatt is set to make her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. In the film, she will be featured with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
In a statement, Alia stated of her experience working on her first foreign project, “For me, this was a super huge opportunity, my first Hollywood film.” And after seeing Gal’s outstanding work, I knew this project would be something extraordinary.”
“It was incredibly exciting to be a part of a spy thriller with a female lead, a woman like Gal.” And I was even more excited to learn that Jamie would be joining the team as well. Gal is a wonderful lady with a wonderful vibe. I feel like I’ve known her for a long time when I’m around her. “It’s as if we clicked instantly, and that comfort translated onto the screen,” she added.
Alia also spoke about her time working with Jamie. “I’ve basically shot almost every day with Jamie now, and it’s easy.” Jamie is hilarious and a joy to work with on this project. We’re shooting all these serious scenes with enormous stakes, yet off camera, we’re joking and chatting, and the tone is incredibly light. That contrast is pretty interesting, and he’s also a fantastic actor, very subtle yet with extremely expressive eyes. “It was a lot of fun and easy to work with him,” she said.
Heart of Stone will be out on Netflix on August 11.
