Prabhas Reduces Remuneration for Raja Saab Despite Kalki 2898 AD's Success: Here's Why
Raja Saab is Prabhas' latest film which is being produced by T G Vishwa Prasad. Malavika Mohanan is the heroine and Maruthi Dasari is the director.
Prabhas is currently riding high with back-to-back hits like "Salaar" and "Kalki 2898 AD." He is now gearing up for his new Telugu film "Raja Saab," directed by Maruthi Dasari. With about 50% of the shoot already completed, this horror comedy stars Malavika Mohanan as the female lead.
Exclusive sources reveal that Prabhas has significantly reduced his remuneration for "Raja Saab." Typically, Prabhas charges around Rs 150 crore per film. However, for "Raja Saab," he has agreed to a fee of only Rs 100 crore, according to a source from the film’s unit.
"Raja Saab" is produced by T G Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. Notably, Vishwa Prasad had previously acquired the theatrical rights for Prabhas' "Adipurush" in the Telugu states and suffered significant financial losses. To help compensate for these losses, Prabhas decided to lower his fee for "Raja Saab."
Moreover, Prabhas has promised the producer that he will only take a share in the profits if "Raja Saab" turns a profit, and only after Vishwa Prasad has recovered his losses from "Adipurush."
This gesture underscores the strong bond Prabhas shares with his producer. Known for his large-hearted nature, Prabhas' actions have become a hot topic of discussion in recent years. This is one of the reasons why he is affectionately known as "Darling" in the Telugu film industry.
