YouTube has made adjustments to YouTube Music in order to improve user experience and prioritise user preferences. A recent update that features a small revamp of the YouTube Music app micro player has been released as part of this effort.

A small update to the YouTube Music app has changed how users may browse the app to skip tracks and cast music to Chromecast-enabled devices, according to a report from 9to5Google.
The Next track button has been replaced with a permanent Cast button on the YouTube Music app’s tiny player, according to the report.

As a result, the Play/Pause button is now the only button visible on the small player. Additionally, the Cast button that was formerly located in the top right corner of the app has been removed, giving the entire top right quadrant of the app a cleaner design.

Since the Next track button was removed, a significant change has been made to the way tracks are navigated within the YouTube Music app. Users can now move to the next track or preview previousĀ tracks by swiping left or right using a new gesture.

Google has reportedly started a broad installation of the updated YouTube Music app, making it available to users all across the world. It is important to note that these improvements have been available to a wider audience since they were available to some people about a month ago.
