Xiaomi is preparing to release its latest tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 6, in India on June 13. This tablet marks Xiaomi’s comeback to the Indian tablet market after a gap of seven years. The Pad 6 was initially introduced in China in April, along with a “pro” version, but it is unlikely that the pro variant will be launched in India for now.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 is priced at CNY 1,999 (around ₹23,100) in China for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB/128GB variant is available for CNY 2,099 (approximately ₹24,250), while the highest configuration, featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, can be purchased for CNY 2,399 (around ₹27,700).
Xiaomi’s previous tablet, the Pad 5, was launched in India with an initial price of ₹26,999 for the 6GB/128GB version, while the 6GB/256GB model was priced at ₹28,999. Ahead of the release of the Xiaomi Pad 6, both variants of the Pad 5 have undergone price reductions of up to ₹1,000.
The Xiaomi Pad 6, in its Chinese version, comes with an 11-inch 2.8K LCD display that boasts a high refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of up to 550nits. The screen supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and it is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Driving the tablet’s performance is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 processor, while a sizable 8,840mAh battery fuels its operations and supports 33W fast charging.
Speaking of specifications, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is equipped with a 13MP main camera on the back and an 8MP front-facing camera for capturing photos and videos. It operates on the MIUI 14 software, which is based on Android 13. In China, Xiaomi provides optional accessories like a custom keyboard and stylus for the Pad 6. These accessories are expected to be introduced in India as well, as indicated by Xiaomi’s India hype reel.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 stands out with its sleek and lightweight design, featuring an all-metal construction that is slim at just 6.51mm thick and weighs 490g. Notably, it supports Xiaomi’s second-generation smart pen stylus.
