Apala Mishra decided against going into dentistry practise after she finished her medical education and started preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams. She was unsuccessful in her first effort in 2018, but she did not let it deter her. Unfazed, she increased her efforts and committed herself to meticulous planning. She first looked for advice in coaching classes but soon moved her attention to independent study. She had yet another setback when she reapplied for the UPSC test, but she stayed tenacious. She made a third try in 2020, qualified, and earned a spot among the top 10 applicants.
Interview Round Triumph
Apala Mishra received the highest rating during the interview round that year. She outperformed the previous record of 212 set in 2019, scoring 215 instead. According to Apala, she spent seven to eight hours every day studying for the UPSC while emphasising time management skills. She achieved the 9th spot in the coveted exam in 2022 because to her dedication and perseverance.
