Trump Reveals Talks With Putin, Kremlin Stays Silent

In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he had spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin but refused to disclose the number of times they had communicated. Cafiero noted that while Trump aims to freeze the war quickly, achieving such an outcome remains complex. He explained:

“The best-case scenario is freezing the Ukraine war, not resolving it. The U.S. sanctions have harmed Russia, but its economy has not collapsed. Meanwhile, Moscow may see Washington’s signals about cutting off military aid as an opportunity to gain more ground.”
