New Delhi: A court has sentenced Tollywood actor couple Rajasekhar and Jeevitha to 1-yr imprisonment in a defamation case. However, the couple became granted bail.
In a judgment suggested on Tuesday, the 17th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate courtroom also imposed a first-class of Rs 5,000.
However, the court docket later granted bail to the actor couple to allow them to go for appeal in a better court docket.
In 2011, the actor couple made sure allegations against Chiranjeevi Blood Bank run by means of superstar Chiranjeevi.
Rajasekhar and his spouse had alleged that after collecting the blood freed from cost from donors, the Blood Bank is promoting the same.
They had alleged that big scale irregularities happened in Chiranjeevi’s Blood Bank and Charitable Trust.
They had reportedly said that Chiranjeevi’s Charitable Trust which were given Rs. 14.5 lakh from the kingdom government for the maintenance of their blood financial institution, turned into selling a unit of blood at Rs 850.
Allu Aravind, movie manufacturer and brother-in-law of Chiranjeevi, had filed a defamation suit against the couple.
Aravind had said that the allegations made via them and their follower Harikrishna Goud towards Chiranjeevi’s Charitable Trust and the Blood Bank run by way of it, and also in opposition to its trustees, had been absolutely fake and politically encouraged.
