Pandey began instructing Class 9 pupils while he was in Class 12 and began to get a monthly stipend of Rs 5000. Alakh made the decision to leave his engineering course after high school and start his YouTube channel while still enrolled at a prestigious Kanpur institution.

Alakh and his colleague Prateek Maheswari created the smartphone application after the YouTube channel gained popularity and recognition. Pandey is an Allahabad native who is wed to Shivani Dubey, a journalist.
