The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is likely to extend the deadline for applying for higher EPS pension by three months, sources said. The extension is likely to come as many employees have been complaining about facing difficulties while applying for a higher pension from the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS).
Due to a lack of clarity on various rules and delayed clarification from EPFO, a large number of employees are yet to apply for a higher pension. But they have few hours left as the last date to apply for a higher pension from the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) is today i.e., June 26, 2023. The EPFO sources are mulling an extension of three months to provide further relief.
