Divya, a postgraduate student at IIM Ahmedabad, harbored a dream of bringing South Indian food to the global forefront, akin to how international chains like KFC and McDonald's have done.
Upon meeting Raghavendra, who boasted over 15 years of experience in the food industry and operated a modest food cart in Seshadripuram, their mutual passion for authentic South Indian cuisine culminated in the creation of Rameshwaram Cafe. The name "Rameshwaram" was chosen to honor Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's birthplace and to signify their dedication to pure vegetarian, genuine South Indian food.
