The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), which operates around-the-clock in flood-affected districts of Delhi-NCR, has also successfully rescued a large number of trapped animals.

Pritam, a bull thought to be the most costly of its breed in the nation, is one of the saved animals.

Bull worth Rs 1 crore

The bull, which is valued at Rs 1 crore, was brought to Ghaziabad by the 8th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from Noida, which had been hit by flooding.

“Team @8NdrfGhaziabad has rescued three animals from Noida, including the No. 1 Bull in India, “PRITAM,” which cost $1 million. Teams from the NDRF are putting forth a lot of effort to save lives in flood-affected regions, it tweeted.

Over 5,000 animals rescued from flood

Over the past several days, the rescue teams have also assisted thousands of other animals, including cows, buffalos, goats, and dogs, in escaping the floodwaters.

Since Thursday, 5,974 animals, including cattle, dogs, bunnies, ducks, roosters, and guinea pigs, have been moved from flooded areas to safety in Noida alone.

According to District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, who spoke to PTI, 3,500 animals and over 5,000 humans have been transferred to safer regions.

Flood situation in Noida

“The Noida floods have had an impact on the residents of eight villages.Four shelter houses have been equipped with the necessary provisions for their accommodation and food, and there are also medical teams stationed there, according to Verma.

Maheshwari claimed that the Noida Authority is giving the personnel and other resources necessary for the relief and rescue efforts.

“We removed all of the livestock from our cow shelter, which had been flooded, as soon as the flood alarm was issued. The Noida Authority’s community facilities have been transformed into shelter houses for the populace, according to Maheshwari.
