Movie Artists Association Takes Action Against Harassing YouTube Channels

The Movie Artists Association (MAA) has announced the shutdown of five YouTube channels that were posting personal attacks and false news targeting Tollywood actors and their families. This decisive action marks the beginning of MAA's efforts to combat online harassment and protect the privacy and dignity of its members.

The five YouTube channels that have been shut down are Just Watch BBC, Trolls Raja, Bachina Lalith, Hyderabad Kurradu, and XYZEdit 007. MAA emphasized that this is just the beginning and that similar channels will face action in the future.

MAA President Manchu Vishnu recently addressed digital content creators, urging them to remove videos and comments criticizing actors and actresses within 48 hours. He expressed his anger over a recent video that made obscene comments about a father and daughter, stating that such posts against women would not be tolerated. Vishnu issued a 48-hour ultimatum to those responsible for these trolling videos, warning that failure to comply would result in complaints being filed with cyber security authorities and steps taken to ban the offending channels.

The association has also appealed to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, urging government action against those who create trolling or dark comedy videos targeting actors.

MAA's actions reflect its commitment to safeguarding the well-being and reputation of Tollywood actors. By shutting down these harassing YouTube channels, the association sends a strong message that such behavior will not be tolerated and that further measures will be taken to ensure a respectful and safe environment for its members.
