Rohit Sharma (Capt), Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Sanju Samson (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (VC), Shardul Thakur, R Jadeja, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohd. Siraj, Umran Malik, Mukesh Kumar.
Umran Malik, Jaydev Unadkat, and Mukesh Kumar will spearhead the pace attack for India while Pandya and Shardul Thakur will add to the depth of India’s fast bowling in the West Indies. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will be India’s spin bowling option, who will be ably assisted by Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel- both of whom have been included in the squad. While Jadeja’s selection was a no-brainer – with what he brings to the table, Axar’s selection clearly suggests that he is in the reckoning for a spot in the ODI World Cup.
The three-match ODI series starts on Thursday, July 27, 2023, followed by the second and third ODI on July 29, and August I respectively. Kensington Oval, Barbados will host the first two matches of the ODI series while the third one will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad.
