In the final match of the five-match T20I series in Harare on Sunday, India triumphed over Zimbabwe by 42 runs, clinching the series 4-1. Sanju Samson played a crucial innings, scoring 58 off 45 deliveries, supported by Riyan Parag's 22 runs, which helped India post a competitive total of 167 for 6.
The Indian bowling attack was led by pacer Mukesh Kumar, who impressed with figures of 4/22, and all-rounder Shivam Dube, who contributed with 2/25. Their efforts restricted Zimbabwe to 125 runs in 18.3 overs, securing the victory for the visitors.
India faced early setbacks in their batting innings, losing openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (12), Abhished Sharma (14), and skipper Shubman Gill (13) within the first five powerplay overs, leaving them at 40/3. However, the partnership between Samson and Parag stabilized the innings and set up a defendable total for the team.
