Jasprit Bumrah, arguably the most eagerly anticipated return by the Indian team and its fans, provided a significant update on his likely return. Bumrah released a few photographs from his most recent training session on Instagram, implying he is almost ready to make a comeback for the national squad. The video, which featured some of Bumrah’s photos from a net session, also had the song ‘I’m Coming Home’ by Diddy-Dirty Money playing in the background.

The video gave fans a new sense of hope, almost confirming speculations that the veteran pacer might be returning for the Ireland tour.

Bumrah has not played for India since his previous appearance against Australia in September of last year. According to previous rumours, the 29-year-old could be healthy and ready for the Asia Cup 2023. However, his amazing development has accelerated his advancement, with team management allegedly anticipating him to be picked for the next tour of Ireland.

Bumrah shared the video on Instagram and tagged the Indian cricket team’s official account.

“It is not prudent to set a timeline for an injury of this nature because constant monitoring is required.” However, Bumrah is recuperating nicely and has bowled seven overs at the NCA nets. From the short workouts and bowling sessions at the beginning, his workload has steadily increased. He’ll play a few practise matches (at NCA) next month, and his fitness will be closely monitored’, a source close to the situation told PTI.
Former Team India strength and conditioning coach Ramji Srinivasan advised caution when bringing back Bumrah.

“He shouldn’t be rushed. Taking part in NCA practise matches is a good step as it will help tune his body to the demands of a match. But he should be made to play in some actual (domestic) matches before bringing him to top level cricket,” Ramji had said.
