President Trump is moving to his opulent Palm Beach resort Mar-a-Lago as his time in office draws to a close. His daughter and son-in-law now seem to be travelling to Florida as well.

According to a source with knowledge of the matter, First Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Senior Presidential Advisor Jared Kushner, have agreed to rent a condominium in Arte. The stunning, pyramid-shaped skyscraper, created by Italian architect Antonio Citterio, is regarded as one of Miami’s Surfside neighborhood’s most opulent brand-new coastal projects. It is also one among the most expensive in the neighbourhood; according to The Wall Street Journal, a New York private equity executive just purchased the penthouse for $33 million.

There are ties between the president and one of the building’s developers. Tamir Sapir, a Soviet émigré who ran a sizable New York real estate portfolio, founded the Sapir Organisation, which is led by Alex Sapir. Before the 2008 financial crisis, The Sapir Organisation and The Trump Organisation collaborated to create the Trump SoHo condo-hotel in New York.

According to the person familiar with the agreement, Ms. Trump and Mr. Kushner agreed to lease a sizable, unfurnished unit in the building for at least a year. According to Zillow, rent for properties of that size in comparable localities generally ranges into the tens of thousands of dollars per month. The agreement is believed to be a stopgap solution while the couple constructs a home on a parcel they recently paid $32 million for on Miami’s Indian Creek Island.

A comment from the pair was not immediately available.

The 16-unit building’s apartments feature temperature-controlled parking spaces, large wraparound terraces with Roman travertine ceilings, European white oak flooring, direct lift entry with fingerprint recognition technology, and deep wraparound patios.

A 75-foot heated indoor lap pool, a rooftop tennis court, a fitness centre, a kids’ play area and a residents’ lounge are just a few of the building’s features. Even though the building has 24-hour protection, the couple will bring additional security, according to the person familiar with the arrangement. at charge of sales at the building is Douglas Elliman.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Ms. Trump and Mr. Kushner rented a luxurious home from Chilean businessman Andrónico Luksic in the Kalorama neighbourhood of Washington, D.C. for the duration of the Trump administration.
