Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, announced on the microblogging app on Sunday that he is updating the Twitter logo. The Tesla CEO also christened the new Twitter logo ‘X’ and shared it on the social media platform.

“And soon, we’ll say goodbye to the Twitter brand and, eventually, all the birds.” Elon Musk tweeted, “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make it go live worldwide tomorrow.”

“If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make the site go live worldwide tomorrow,” he continued. Following a merger, Twitter is now part of a new firm called X Corp, according to sources. Elon Musk teased this by displaying the letter ‘X’ on his Twitter account. Elon Musk is touting his artificial intelligence startup, xAI, which he claims will “understand the universe.”

Meanwhile, Twitter is limiting the number of direct messages that unverified accounts can send on a daily basis. The changes, according to the site, will go into effect on Friday and will affect users who do not have a verified badge or a Twitter Blue subscription.

The business did not specify the exact DM limit, but indicated that users who wish to send limitless DMs could join up for Twitter Blue, its subscription service that costs Rs 900 per month in India and includes a variety of features and benefits.

Elon Musk has also lately urged that Twitter users become verified subscribers, claiming that they can make hundreds of dollars each month in ad revenue sharing.

Without going into detail about how they can achieve this without registering 5 million impressions per month with having more than 10,000 followers — the two key conditions in order to make money via ad revenue sharing on Twitter — he asked them to join Twitter Blue paid subscription.
