India’s space exploration program has reached new heights in recent years, garnering international acclaim and recognition.

Chandrayaan 1, launched in 2008, marked India’s first lunar mission. It successfully accomplished several key objectives, including the discovery of water molecules on the moon’s surface.

Building on this success, Chandrayaan 2, launched in 2019, aimed to land a rover on the moon’s surface.

Although the lander Vikram had a hard landing, the orbiter continues to orbit the moon, collecting valuable data.

The experience gained from both missions laid the foundation for Chandrayaan 3, India’s renewed attempt at a lunar landing.
