The Falaknuma Express fire mishap occurrence, which was reported just days after an anonymous letter to the local railway officials purportedly threatening a repeat of the Balasore train accident in Hyderabad, has raised concerns.
The Falaknuma Express has no sabotage angle, according to the railway authorities, and initial investigations have merely revealed a potential electrical short circuit.
“We don’t believe the phoney letter is connected to the incident today. We had already notified the Government Railway Police, and they are working to locate and apprehend the letter’s sender, a senior railway official stated.
According to the Gopalapuram police, who are looking into the fake letter case, they have asked the post offices to let them know if they learn anything about the sender. Sources claim that the threat letter was sent from the Gandhinagar region. “Efforts are on to identify and nab the sender,” said a police official.
After receiving the anonymous letter written to the Divisional Railway Manager of the Secunderabad division, the railway has issued a red alert for all zones.
