India’s performance at the WTC 2023 Final hasn’t been great; on Day 2, it was down by 173 runs. Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur gave the squad the necessary steadiness when the top order disintegrated and led squad India to a fightable position.

Three judgements were overturned, giving Indian batters new lives, and this contributed to Team India’s innings being full of umpiring errors.

DRS rescued Indian hitters three times

Pat Cummins may have ruined Ajinkya Rahane’s miraculous comeback by removing him before the wickets with a score of 17. He was definitely in front of the wickets when the umpires called him out.

Rahane nevertheless made the decision to gamble with the DRS, and to everyone’s amazement, Pat Cummins over the bowling line. The result was a no-ball, and Indian fans felt relieved.

It became evident that the last wicket will soon fall as the Indian batting order sank to its lowest point. The final two players on the crease were Mohammad Shami and Mohammad Siraj.

Siraj was discovered in front of the wickets after Cameron Green bowled an exquisite delivery. He was called out by the umpire, but he wanted to review it.
